目前在華盛頓大學醫學院外科部擔任研究員。
她的作品包括《Expected Miracles: Surgeons at Work》、《A Group Called Women: Sisterhood and Symbolism in the Feminist Movement》和《Children in the Field: Anthropological Experiences》（以上皆為天普大學出版社出版）；最近的前一本作品則是《The Woman in the Surgeon's Body》。
