後碳研究所(Post Carbon Institute) 資深研究員，為知名能源分析師，曾獲頒哈伯特傑出貢獻獎（M. King Hubbert Award for excellent）。擅長通俗寫作和演講，曾經受邀到歐盟國會與紐西蘭國會演講，以及擔任美國國家石油委員會(National Petroleum Council) 的顧問。文章與評論常見於《自然》（Natural）、《生態學家》（The Ecologist magazine）、《美國展望》（The American Prospect）等報章雜誌。
